The Science Club is a motley crowd of young inquisitive minds. They try and go deeper into what makes things work and why they do as they do. The Science Club tries in it's own ways to kindle a burning desire to unravel the truth behind life and it's forms. The club encourages minds to rationalize and inspires them to think and reason.
THE SPORTS CLUB
GCC realizes the mammoth potential of students in the sports arena and provides them with sports and games facilities like cricket, football, tennis, table tennis, basketball, hockey and swimming to name a few.
GCC promotes each of these sporting activities by ensuring students compete at state, regional and national level.
The sports officer who is in charge of the club ensures that the potential in each student is brought out to the maximum.
MANAGEMENT CLUB
The club is for those who aspire to be leaders of the future. If corporate ladder is what your eyes are set on, then the Management Club will provide you with opportunities to equip yourself with qualities that would be a boost to your dreams.
The Management Club organizes seminars on management and leadership skill development, workshops on how to be a better manager, discussions and debates on various topics etc. Speakers from corporate sectors are invited to deliver talks that would impart knowledge on the latest in management techniques. The Management Club also brings out a newsletter “The Edge” highlighting the latest in management techniques. All activities of the Management Club are driven with the objective of preparing members for a career overdrive and staying afloat even while the tide is not favourable.
Media is the mirror of society. It is the social responsibility of the media to become a keeper of political accountability and uphold the quest for truth, especially as the media provide a platform for expression of opinion as well as the power to influence public opinion. Media represent a seamless blend of philosophy and creativity and thereby provoke a thought process that transcends the confines of reality and examines new interpretations of the seemingly obvious.
The Media Club, a product of the Center for Media Studies, aims to become a true representation of the above beliefs. Media Club regularly publishes a newsletter which reflects the beliefs and principles for which the media should ideally stand for. In addition, it showcases creditable ventures undertaken by our students in various fields. Other activities of the Club include industrial visits, and workshops on the many avenues and facets of the field, from newspaper design to videography, from advertising to print processes.
LITERARY CLUB
The literary talent which lies dormant within each student is given a platform to bloom at the Literary Club. The club has in it members who wield their pen at times like a sharp sword that pierces through wrong thoughts and actions of the mighty, at times like an artiste's brush that creates masterstrokes poetic and at times like the chisel of a master craftsman giving shapes and forms that please the eye.
ADVENTURE CLUB
The Adventure Club of GCC is responsible for the adrenaline rush amongst the students and ensures that their limit of endurance is pushed to the extremes. The Adventure Club conducts trekking, mountaineering, rock climbing, river rafting and also parasailing in Bangalore and various parts of the country. The club identifies prospective and relevant places in different regions for mind blowing adventure activities.
ARTS CLUB
The artistically inclined have a platform here to exhibit and hone their talents. The college realizes that the talented have to be recognized and honoured. The development of their inherent talent improves the overall personality of a student instilling in them self confidence that goes a long way in their life. The Arts Club also provides opportunities to students to participate in inter collegiate competitions and fests.
THEATRE CLUB
The Theatre Club at GCC is where budding actors, actresses, script writers and directors find solace to quench their thirst for theatre. The Theatre Club hosts plays by the college students and also by outside theatre groups. The club organizes workshops on theatre acting, directing and script writing where eminent theatre personalities are invited to share their experiences and knowledge with the students. The club acts as a catalyst in building confidence among the students and also honing their talent.
