New Year eve at Garden City College - A memory to cherish through out the year.

Transition of yet another year was celebrated at GCC with a grand party presided by Dr. Joseph V.G. Chairman, Garden City Group of Institutions. Over 250 students, teaching and non teaching staff along with their family members came together at the GCC campus to relish this New Year eve. This eve was a witness to many significant events in the evolution of GCC.

The celebration began with a message for the New Year, through ‘illusion’ by Mr. Rajesh Fernando the value Communicator. The message was to shed our inhibition and fear, to rejuvenate ourselves and to go ahead and realize our dream.

This was followed by a grand dinner with variety of cuisine, for the gathering to pamper their taste buds. A cultural fest was arranged and hosted by the students with rocking dance performance and thumping music to the ears. To add spice to the fun and frolic, mind tackling games were organized which kept their spirits high.

The crux of the evening was unveiling of the GCC time chrono. Dr. Joseph V.G. inaugurated the GCC time chrono at the strike of the mid night. GCC time chrono is a huge clock of 6 feet diameter dial the biggest in Bangalore City, mounted on the main UG Block at the GCC campus.

Another highlight of the evening was the release of the final issue of GCC World (2007). The GCC World - Magazine for young adults is entering into its 10th year of publication. This magazine has evolved in leaps and bounds under the guidance and patronage of Dr. Joseph V.G. It now has 15,000 copies printed and circulated in 54 countries world over.

Dr. Joseph V.G cut the New Year cake in the presence of Mr. T. Mohan Babu. Chairman in his address told the gathering of his wish to become a student again. He also cautioned the young students, to be alert in this fast moving world. He also congratulated and expressed appreciation on the efforts of staff and students for making this evening a grand success. He extended his heartfelt regards to the entire gathering to have joined for this eve even though they had other options to celebrate the dawn of New Year.
