Garden City College is an ISO 9001:2008 certified and NAAC accredited institution offering various programs in Science and Management Studies. As a part of our corporate social responsibility every year Job Fair is organized for the benefit of fresh graduates and experienced graduates. This year the 9th Edition of Mega Job Fair was held on 14th and 15th of July 2012. This year the Job Fair was organized in association with Central Placement Cell, Government of Karnataka on 14th and 15th July 2012. 53 Companies from Pharma/Healthcare, Retail, Automobile, Banking, Financial Service and Insurance, IT/ITES and Hospitality Sectors participated in the Job Fair. Over 4500 walk-ins were reported and 3465 candidates applied for various positions and 1141 offers were made by these companies. A booklet with company profiles and requirements was given to job aspirants to guide them in the Job Fair. The fair was inaugurated by Prof. Jose Varghese, Advisor, Garden City Group of Institutions and Former VC, National Law University, Raipur, Chattisgarh on 14th July 2012. The company officials were felicitated by Dr. Joseph V.G., Chairman, Garden City Group of Institutions and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Maldives in a function in the afternoon followed by a high tea. From the Pharma/Healthcare domain companies like Anthem Biosciences, Modimundi Pharma, Omega Healthcare, Perry Johnson Outsourcing etc. participated. From retail domain companies like Lifestyle Retail, Univercell, India Mart, Jubilant Retail etc. participated. From BFSI domain Cross Domain Solutions, LIC of India, Sundaram Finance, India Infoline, Way 2 Wealth, Angel Broking etc. participated. From IT/ITES domain, Aegis Global, Primeaccess Technologies, Vid Teq, Refonte Technologies, Cadmaxx Solutions, X Plore 360, Saesun Info Solutions, HR One Consulting, DMC India etc participated. From the automotive sector, Toyota Kirloskar Motors, KHT Motors, Trident Hyundai, Bimal Motors, Dakshin Honda, Cel Cabs etc. participated. From the Hospitality sector, MGM Mark Whitefield, Golden Landmark Hotel, Café Coffee day, etc participated. The job fair witnessed a huge participation by job seekers from all over the state and from neighboring states like Tamilnadu, Andhra Pradesh, and Kerala.
