Dakshin, the southern chapter of the GCC alumni was inaugurated on 15th of January, 2012 in Kochi, Kerala.The chapter was created to establish a bridge between the alma mater and the alumni in the southern part of India.
The programme was held in Dreams, Cochin a five star property in the land of beaches.
The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by our beloved Chairman, His Excellency Dr. Joseph V G. The morning witnessed the gathering of the Alumni from different batches and different parts South India.
The alumni were taken back to their good old days by a video presentation called ‘Your campus now’ which showcased the latest in campus.
Alumni shared their experiences which strolled them down the memory lanes. They were enlightened by the speech of our Honorable Chairman His Excellency Dr Joseph V G.
The alumni joined in for lunch sharing lighter moments with their pals.
The Alma mater as always has been a source of values inculcated in the wards .The DAKSHIN meet was also not an exception .A Value educator of his own kind, Mr Rajesh Fernando, a Limca Book of Records & Guinness Book record holder was amidst the alumni. His presentation ‘Emphasis is on life’ had an over whelming response. The college hopes that the presentation helps the alumni to set the eternal bond with their life.
