National Cadet Corps in Garden City College, Bangalore was commissioned in the year 2003 with 55 Senior Division (SD) Cadets and the Senior Wing (SW) was commissioned in the year 2006 with 55 Girl Cadets. In the year 2009 the strength of SD was enhanced by 20 Cadets making the Garden City College Company to 130 cadets (75 SD / 55 SW).
It is the youngest company in 9 Karnataka Battalion which is under Bangalore Group 'B' Karnataka & Goa Directorate. Garden City College Company is a unique blend of Cadets from all over India and Nepal. This is the 3/9 Company known as BRAVEHEART.
The insignia of the Company is a portrait of Shaheed Bhagat Singh written BRAVEHEART on it, as he was the brave heart of the Indian Freedom Struggle and our Cadets draw motivation and courage from his bravery.
The college company has always looked high and we believe in the best. Our Cadets have always given their best, be it combined Annual Training Camps or Republic Day Camp in Delhi. Apart from regular NCC parades & other activities like Parasailing, Rock Climbing, Trekking, Adventure, etc., we also have something called Garden City College Grand Parade, which happens once a month on a Saturday. It is a unique way of honouring the parents of students who have done well in all the fields.
Cadets from Garden City College have participated and done well in various camps at various places all over India including the prestigious camps like Republic Day Camp (RDC) and Thal Sainik Camp (TSC), Delhi. Come what may, Ggarden City College Cadets have always excelled every where.
