Mr. K. C. Chandrashekaran Nair, CFO – Technopark Trivandrum, inaugurates the Entrepreneurial Development Cell (EDC) at GCC by lighting the lamp in the presence of leading entrepreneurs and Prof. V. B. Coutinho, Former Vice Chancellor, Member - Knowledge Commission, Karnataka State and presently President of the Governing Council – Garden City Group of Institutions.

The state’s first Entrepreneurial Development Cell and Technology Business Incubation Extension Centre of Technopark Trivandrum was inaugurated at Garden City College . The Inaugural ceremony was attended by various people from the Corporates, venture capitalists, alumni entrepreneurs and aspiring entrepreneurs of the college. Prof. V. B. Coutinho – Former Vice Chancellor, Member Education Commission of Karnataka State and President Governing council – Garden City Group of Institutions presided, the ceremony and Mr. K. C. Chandashekaran Nair, CFO – Technopark, Trivandrum graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.

The ceremony began with a colourful welcome dance followed by the lighting of the ceremonial lamp and symbolic inauguration by unveiling the plaque. The guests of honour appreciated Technopark Trivandrum for its tie up with GCC and its initiative to establish an Entrepreneurship Development Cell & Technology Business Incubation Extension Centre, which is first of its kind in any of the colleges in Karnataka.

The alumni entrepreneurs of GCC were proud to see their institution, have such a setup which would nurture many more like them from across the state. The essence of the ceremony came to light when the aspiring entrepreneurs of the college presented their ideas to the gathering; they were applauded and appreciated by all. Few of them were offered support from the alumni to start up their venture which was indeed a motivation to the aspiring students.

The inauguration of the first Entrepreneurial Development Cell and Technology Business Incubation Extension Centre in the state concluded with the National anthem followed by business networking session.
