Introduction
Nursing is a noble profession and Nursing graduates are much sought after, the World over. Nursing graduates are in great demand in Health Care Sectors in all Countries as there is a shortage of quality professionals in these Nations, and, Indian Nurses have always had a pride of place among the recruiters because of our cultural background that stresses on sacrifice and reaching out to the other. The graduate study program prepares the students with complete understanding required for the practice of Nursing. This course is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences and recognized by Indian Nursing Council (INC) and Karnataka Nursing Council (KNC).
Course Information
This is a 4 year graduate study program with major emphasis on Clinical Training. The students undergo extensive practical training and exposure in the best Hospitals enabling them to be prepared with exposure to the latest Equipments, Technology and Knowledge. Students are sent to highly specialized Hospitals for their clinical experience. They are also enriched intellectually with wide range of academic activities and field trips to Water Purification Plant, Leprosy Sanatorium, TB Sanatorium, Food & Milk Processing Plant and Sewage Treatment Plant which forms a part of Community Health Care. The subjects covered during the course include Anatomy, Physiology, Basic Principles & Practice of Nursing, Sociology, Psychology, Microbiology, Pharmacology, Biochemistry and Introduction to Computers, Medical Surgical Nursing, Mental Health Nursing, Midwifery (including Maternity) & Gynaecological Nursing, Child Health Nursing, Community Health Nursing, Trends and Issues in Nursing, Nursing Research & Statistics and Management of Nursing Services and Education.
