Ms. Jhimli Purkayastha is the Reader in the faculty of Media Studies in Garden City College, Bangalore. Having completed her Masters in Mass Communication, she worked with various print and electronic media before joining Garden City College in the year 2005. She has been a regular contributor for national newspapers like the Economic Times. She has presented papers in various UGC sponsored national seminars. She has conducted workshops on “Professional Editing”, “Quark Express” for the faculty members and students during her tenure as the HOD of Journalism. She attended various Faculty Development Programmes across the country . She has been the editor of campus newsletter of Garden City College, GCC Elan. Currently she is the Chief Editor for the Journal of the “Media Matters”, which has got an ISSN no.
