Prof. Kalyanasundaram is currently the Vice Principal & Director – Placements, Garden City College. He has done his M.Phil. in Entrepreneurship (2001), MBA (1994) and BE (1992) from Madurai Kamaraj University. In 2010 he had undergone Six Sigma Yellow Belt course from Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Development Institute, Government of India, Chennai. He has also attended three AICTE sponsored FDPs in 1999, 2000 and 2009. He has about nineteen years of experience and since 1998, he has served Garden City College in various capacities as HOD- Management Studies, Steering Committee Coordinator for NAAC Accreditation and Re-Accreditation etc... Currently, he is also the Management Representative for Quality Systems Implementation and the Convener of Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the college. He has attended several seminars, conferences, FDPs and workshops and presented and published 27 papers. In March 2008 he had organized NAAC sponsored National Seminar on ‘Continuous Improvement in Higher Education’ and in September 2008 he had organized International Conference on ‘Ergonomics’. In October 2012, he had organized a one day state level seminar on ‘Assessment of Impact of FDI’.   He has carried out market research projects for M/s. Vital Wave Consulting, Learn Nature Computech and Centre for Public Policy. He is a life member of Quality Circle Forum of India and Indian Society for Technical Education. He is specialized in Research Methodology, Strategic Management and Entrepreneurship. His other interests include Eastern philosophy and History.
